Gallery of the Benew Quay Festival
Moments from lantern walks, harbour concerts and market evenings across the festival month, 1 November – 1 December 2024.

Scenes from the Harbour
Every year the harbour becomes the heart of the festival. Visitors gather along the quay as the first lanterns are lit, and the water reflects the colours of the procession until late in the evening.

Planning Your Visit
Tips for getting the most from the photographs and the events they capture.
Best Viewing Spots
The steps by the lifeboat station give the clearest view of the lantern procession as it passes the harbour wall.
Evening Light
Arrive before 16:30 in late November to see the quay in soft daylight before the lanterns take over.
Respect the Scene
Please keep walkways clear for stallholders and performers, and ask before photographing people up close.
Guests Share Their Favourite Moments
The photographs capture exactly how the quay felt on the nights we visited. We have already booked for next year.
